Tags and Keywords both are used to attract visitor and to get more traffic over the website. Both have the same meaning but both have some different role these are: -

 

Tags

Tags are the expressive keywords that add into your information like video that helps to the viewers to find your video title, thumbnail. Tags are placed by the creator of information to describe what is related it to. Tags are used to collect people information related to website about experience on it.

Tags are not present in the information but it is denoted by owner to the information. Tags are used to organize the information and mostly used for blogging.

 

 

Keywords

Keywords is a word or phrase that people type in search engine bar to find out the site. Keywords are very important to the site because it helps in optimize our webpage. So select very relevant keyword to the webpage.

Keywords are selected by search engine in search bar that typed by someone, this thing will get traffic over the website.

 

 

Some Major difference between Tags and Keywords

 

Keywords is the part of the content that used to recognize all about the content.

Tags are created by the author of content, using custom tags to define what it is and what is related it to. It can be show on the same page as the content but it is not related to this.

 

Keywords is everything and everywhere that we write. It is inbuilt into the content so keywords are not clear to the search engine.

Tags are originally show in blogs and YouTube videos so the search engine know all about the content. That helps keyword to get traffic direct over the webpage.

 

Tags helps in categorize the similar content of the site. Tags represent same related stories and also helps in search other page. It allows visitors to see all posts over the blog that have custom tags.

Keyword doesn’t work like that. It cannot complete sorting and categorize the content.

 

We have to use both in our website, because keyword and tags don’t have disadvantages. Instead of it don’t excessive use of both.
